  • In this all levels class, through the use of props, very clear cues, and imagination, you’ll be invited to deeply explore yourself through the lens of a yoga asana practice.

In the direct lineage of BKS Iyengar, Tara’s accessible classes are  taught with a strong understanding of anatomical relationships, purposeful and safe alignment customized to your body, and are created around purposeful themes.

This is an all levels class, which means that we will explore everything on the spectrum from yoga for functionality to inversions to restorative yoga and more, depending on each class’s theme. Modifications will always be offered because Tara teaches that the essence of a pose is far more important than the shape, so bring both your possibilities and your limitations!

This class is ideal for students who are interested in both practicing in class and learning how to utilize the technology of yoga effectively for themselves in personal practice and for students curious about anatomy.

  • All levels is a hatha class appropriate for all levels. After centering the mind and warming up the body we will move mindfully through a traditional hatha yoga sequence: sun salutations, standing and balancing poses, forward folds, backbends, twists and inversions. With three primary goals: Physical Vibrancy, Emotional Balance and Mental Clarity, this class will serve as a foundation for the discovery of deep peace and true personal power that lies beneath the activity of the mind. All levels welcome.

  • Let yourself completely relax by candlelight. Restorative yoga enables deep relaxation that leads you towards a healing experience. Restorative yoga can be practiced by anyone, from beginners to advanced yoga practitioners. Postures are typically supported poses by props to allow the body to release held tension and enter into a state of deep relaxation. Slowing down the pace of life allows you to disconnect from activity of daily life, especially if you are in need of stillness and balance in your life. Restorative yoga also soothes the nervous system, slowing your breathe and mitigate the effects of the regular fight-or-flight response that can be damaging to your physiology and well-being. Some other benefits of a restorative practice is to opens the doorway to a deeper understanding of your body, strengthening self-awareness, self- acceptance and creating a feeling of nurturing and safety. The main focus of Restorative Yoga is to relax into the pose, with the aid of props, without strain or pain, you can achieve physical, mental and emotional relaxation. This practice is great for anyone looking to slow down, to relieve stress, to calm the excessive mind chatter. Props: Mat, bolster, blanket/large towel, two blocks.

  • Gentle Peace yoga is geared toward the student who wishes to move at a slower pace. Gentle yoga because of its innate gentle nature, is perfect for those who cannot meet the demands of a physically straining exercise due to age, health complications, recovery from injuries or surgery or just in need to slow the pace of life. We will focus on movement for all the joints and muscles in the body, including a deep focus on spinal movement.

The combination of movement and breath techniques with an experienced teacher will help create enhanced range of motion, flexibility, balance and peace through both movement, stillness and challenging times. These techniques will enhance and deepen relaxation to assist in softening muscle tension and calm the mind.

This class will guide you into decreasing physical, mental and emotional stress while calming the nervous system and leading you to a path of peacefulness. Studies have proven beneficial for many health concerns, including pain, reducing the heart rate and blood pressure, as well as relieving anxiety and depression.

  • This practice will revitalize your body, relax your mind, increase your energy and reduce stress. Simple movements will increase the range of motion of the major joints and improve flexibility. This gentle approach is ideal for those looking for a less strenuous practice. This class is appropriate for all ages and levels of yoga. Slow flow is not as gentle as gentle restorative but not as intense as all levels. Recommended props: 2 blocks, blanket, strap, bolster.

  • "Journey to the Self" in the context of yoga, often described as "Yoga is the journey of the self, through the self, to the self," emphasizes a holistic practice that encourages self-discovery, inner peace, and personal growth through movement, breath, and mindfulness.

We will combine stretching , strengthening, mind focus and breathing techniques in a soft, gentle way to provide a comprehensive yoga experience that benefits both mind and body.

Also known as "flow yoga," Vinyasa encourages a seamless transition from one posture to another, creating a harmonious and continuous flow. This practice cultivates strength, flexibility, balance, and mindfulness. Each movement is linked to an inhalation or exhalation, creating a rhythmic and meditative experience. Vinyasa yoga offers a creative and adaptable approach, allowing practitioners to explore various sequences while fostering a deeper connection between breath, body, and mind.

Taught by Susan Balogh, our Holistic Happiness Coach and Qi Gong instructor!

ENERGY TAPPING (NEW)

  • (Tuesdays, EVERY 4 weeks beginning 05/13/2025). Energy Tapping for Inspiration and Wellbeing

Our Holistic Happiness Coach will guide you in this MONTHLY energy tapping class. You may have heard it referred to as meridian tapping or EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique).

It's all about creating a habit of giving your mind and body the right messages to promote your natural state of harmony and wellbeing. You feel lighter and freer and attract more good things into your life!

Instructor Susan Balogh believes: "By nature, you are in a state of wellbeing and any way you wish to feel is available to you as you align your energy with it.”

Together, we will state intentions and affirmations (or just listen) as we tap on one or more acupressure points along the meridians of the body used in acupuncture. The meridians are like rivers of energy flowing through your body.

Tapping is a wonderful way to transform negative emotion to positive emotion. And it can happen rather quickly at times. Many people feel instant relief of stress or anxiety, self doubts, or any kind of resistance really. It may even relieve pain, and has now been proven that the amygdala of the brain responds to the tapping.

“It’s been said that ‘it’s weird, but it works.’ I believe part of what is working is accepting and acknowledging how we feel which allows us to let things go more easily. And doing this while tapping gets us out of our head and into our body and grounds and centers us. You have to try it to see how amazing it can feel.” ~ Instructor, Susan Balogh

Some of the topics you will be “tapping” on and feeling your way into are:

    • The feeling of wellbeing—to feel even better in general—and/or relieve discomfort and improve health.

    • A feeling of self acceptance and acceptance of others—to improve your life experiences and relationships.

    • Feeling resilient around negative energies around you (for the empath in you).

    • The feeling of unconditional happiness and freedom.

    • The feeling of being limitless—to feel empowered and attract more good things into your life!

Optionally, toward the end of class you can ask for help with a specific concern and we will tap on a positive solution. Everyone will receive what they call “borrowing effects.”

You will walk away with a renewed sense of self and inspiration to move forward with faith and purpose. You can easily practice this at home and expect more magic to show up in your life.

It is all meant to feel inspirational and enjoyable for you.

Susan began teaching EFT in 2011. She received her initial training from Dawson Church, Founder of EFT Universe, located in Virginia. Although Susan teaches a more positive style of energy tapping, EFT Research studies can be found here: https://eftuniverse.com/research-studies/
